If you’re looking for a little shadow, Kona is your guy!! He can be very shy and slow to warm up but once he does he is quite the character and very curious. He loves laying in his bed…preferably a BIG dog bed. He is not fond of a crate but does well in a 3’x3’ playpen with a soft bed while you are gone. He likes being with his humans and does best at night sleeping with them. He will find his spot on the bed and never move. He enjoys car rides, long warm baths and a nice brushing. He shows his love with kisses but is still learning to cuddle and wag his tail. He does well with other dogs and is playful with larger dogs as well. Kona walks well on a leash, but doesn’t particularly like it; so, if it’s an adventurous hiking dog you’re looking for, Kona is not your guy. Kona would do best in a calm, relaxing home where he can get a lot of attention. He is a good eater and has warmed up to taking treats. Kona travels well in the car. His favorite time of the day is morning when everyone is waking up. He gets very excited and playful when he knows breakfast is coming soon. He will bark if he can’t find you or he’s excited for breakfast/dinner. He is still mastering potty training and may have accidents at first in his new home.
