Manhattan’s perfect day would start with a lot of morning snuggles followed by a brisk walk - because after a surgery to mend a severely broken arm together with steel plates, he really loves being able to walk (even though he has a little wobble in his hobble)! During the walk, he would love to sniff everything, greet the neighbors with a bark (even though he knows he shouldn’t), and find a puddle to jump in until he’s soaking wet. After drying off, maybe with a beloved blow dry session, he would get to lay next to you all day and nap, only waking to protect you with a bark from anything he views out the window. He will try to always use the backyard when he needs to potty and do his best to signal you when the need arises. He’ll nibble on his bowl of kibble throughout the day, will enjoy being trained because he will do about anything for a treat, and would love a little quite time in his own, enclosed space (a small room or crate) while you run errands. When you return he’ll jump around and bark with excitement to see his best friend (you!) again. With renewed energy, he may gently play-wrestle while making (what he thinks are) fierce, growly noises, and chew on a bone. His perfect day would end with another brisk walk before laying in bed with you, knowing you are near him, will keep him safe, and will always be there for him.
