Nani was surrendered to us from an abusive home. She was initially terrified of people, but has since been in a loving foster home where she is learning how to be a dog and trust others. She is still a bit timid, but very sweet and gentle. Nani loves playing with other dogs and learns quickly from other dogs in the home. Her foster mom jokes that she is a stalker, always watching you and following you around the house to see what you are up to. Nani is potty pad trained and does well on a leash when other dogs are with her. She is not crate trained, but enjoys relaxing in a crate during the day for comfort and safety. Nani will take a minute to warm up to her new home when she is adopted, so she is looking for a home with patient, dog-experienced people and a friendly dog. She also would do well in a home where she would never be alone, because she likes having a friend or person around. When she gets more comfortable, she enjoys running around, barking, playing, and napping on the couch. Nani loves treats and will run over to anybody whenever a treat is available.
