Rudolph came from Santa Cruz where he was surrendered by his previous owner, upon finding out that he had a heart murmur. He was immediately taken to our vet for a full exam. We have since learned that he suffers from a grade four heart murmur. Because of the compromised state of his heart, he collapses whenever he gets too excited. He is on daily heart medication and will be for the rest of his life. He severely needs a dental, but he most likely will not survive going under anesthesia for the surgery. We are hoping to keep him happy and safe for the remainder of his life! We are hoping to raise money for Rudolph, because he is a long-term foster. Any funds raised or items donated will help us recuperate the costs we've spent for his routine medical care and medication, and of course, fund future routine costs and emergencies.
