Hera

Hera was surrendered by her family due to being unable to afford her care. Sometimes previous owners are not completely honest, and we understand how scary it can be to care for a pup that does not have much longer here😞 Hera has been diagnosed with Advanced Degenerative Valve Disease, Severe Mitral Regurgitation, Moderate Tricuspid Regurgitation, Severe Mitral Valve Prolapse, Severe Left Atrial Dilation, Severe Left Ventricular Dilation, High left filling pressures, Mild Pulmonary Hypertension, Trace Pericardial Effusion, Trace Pleural Effusion,

Mild Bronchitis, Intermittent Atrial Premature Complexes, and Major Chordae Tendon rupture...all this to say she is in heart failure due to various genetic heart conditions. The vet has approximated that she has 6 months to a year left to live, which is incredibly devastating to hear. We want to thank her foster mom, Alexis, for stepping up to take on a hospice pup even though it is her first time entering into the rescue world. Hera is very much loved and getting comfortable in her new home💕✨ She is joined by two other OC Pom alumni, Bartlett and Binx, so you know that she is in good company!
