Colt

Colt is a ball of fluffy puppy love! He is excited to explore all his world has to offer. Colt loves pets, snuggles, happily rolls over for tummy rubs and always has kisses to give.  While he loves his stuffed toys and chew toys running might be his new favorite thing to do. He learning to play fetch with small tennis balls. Colt LOVES the ball pit that his foster mom has and she can often find him rummaging around in there for his toys and just being goofy!

Colt had an injury to his left front paw prior to coming to OC Pom Rescue, so he had surgery to place two pins in his foot and he is recovering well. He is still in the recovery process and is working on consistently putting weight on his paw, but it doesn't slow him down one bit! He loves zoomies around the house and yard. He can jump up on things, but prefers not to jump down. Colt knows what potty pads are and attempts use them. He will go potty outside on his spot. Walking on a leash is a new skill for Colt; he is still slow walking, but loves to be outside. Picnics are a fun way to spend outside time with him while keeping it slow while he continues getting stronger in his paw.

Colt is very friendly to dogs he lives with, but he can be apprehensive of other dogs at the park and beach and will ask to be picked up. He gets along well with older children that can match his energy. Colt would be a wonderful little brother for a younger dog that likes to play a lot or an only dog for a person that has lots of time to spend with him. If you are looking for a loving, fluffy ball of puppy energy, Colt is the pup for you!
