Luke Skywalker

Meet Luke Skywalker, a 2-year-old,Pomeranian-chihuahua mix who’s full of energy and personality. Luke is a playful, energetic little guy who loves to be active. He knows his basic commands and is food-motivated, which is helpful with his training. He’s also potty trained in his foster home and loves outdoor adventures, especially trips to the park where he can run and play. However, he can get overexcited when meeting new people and may have an accident the first time he meets a new person.

While he’s friendly and fun, Luke does need a little help on the leash. He can be leash reactive (barks, pulls, growl of excitement) and will need some extra guidance in this area. Luke would like to  be the only dog in the home so that he can get lots of attention and focus in his training. He is very smart and eager to please his family--he just needs a second to adjust in his home and to know that he is there forever and will be loved! Routines and obedience training will be the key to success with Luke. Luke does not like cats and will go after them. Luke may be too energetic for a home with small children, but he would be fine with older, dog-experienced kids.

Luke would do well in an active home that can match his happy energy. His foster mom enjoys going for runs with Luke to get him active and to start the day off strong! He loves to play and would thrive in a setting where he can burn off all his excitement and keep his mind engaged. He is very smart and very playful, and he likes to talk to you with his eyes and voice when he is excited and is ready for play time at the park.
