Lamar is a sweet and cuddly Pomeranian who wants to be the center of your world. He is definitely timid of new experiences at first, but once he learns something new or gets to know a new friend, he is all tailwags and kisses. Lamar LOVES being pet and will legit look into your eyes to show you that he is so happy and in love. Lamar enjoys playing with toys and is happy to play for however long you are willing. He is good in the car and may whine for you to roll the window down for quality sniffing time. He is good on the leash, but when another dog comes by, he will wag his tail and may give some excited barks. He is doing well with redirection and quiets down quickly. Lamar is doing well with potty training and is usually good to hold it while his foster mom is at work. Of course, in his new home he'll have to adapt to whatever his new routine is. Lamar loves treats and is a good boy receiving them, but he definitely wants space while he is eating his meal. He will growl and get into an intimidating pose if you mess with his food while he is eating, but he is back to his sweet self and doesn't mind you touching his bowl when he is done with the meal. Lamar has a good appetite and eats twice a day. He can be a diva at times and wants his way, so he'll need some work on being more obedient or less bratty of his things. He doesn't really care about the other dogs in his house and it took him a second to warm up to them and not run away while they were playing. It does not seem like he was super exposed to other dogs before his foster home, so this was a good start to what should be a continued exposure to new doggy friends. He would be his happiest as the only dog or with a calmer, friendly dog. He is fine sleeping in bed with his foster mom or in a dog bed.
