April

April is a sweet, smart little Pomeranian with a big personality and an even bigger love for belly rubs. She’s potty trained, as long as she’s taken outside regularly. She’s a fast walker and loves getting out for walks, so she would do best with an active person or family who enjoys spending time outdoors. April is very intelligent and learns quickly with treats. She came to us knowing the command “sit” and is continuing to learn new things every day. She thrives with attention and engagement, and would be happiest in a home where someone can spend time with her and include her in daily activities. She can get excited on walks and may pull on the leash, so someone comfortable with continuing her leash training would be ideal. April is eager to learn and please her family. She is good in the car and is happy for any kind of trip.

She’s a bit of a picky eater, but she enjoys chicken-based foods and chicken-flavored treats. She eats from a slow feeder bowl because she tends to eat too quickly otherwise. When you leave, she enjoys little enrichment games, like finding treats wrapped in a towel. She typically barks when she hears noises outside that she is unfamiliar with when left alone; she is usually pretty quiet for the most part. She's a loving companion who just wants affection and connection. Her perfect home would be with someone who can give her lots of love, attention, walks, and belly rubs. In return, she’ll give you endless loyalty and a whole lot of personality. If you’re looking for a bright, affectionate little dog to share your days with, April might be the perfect match.
