Chilaquiles

Chilaquiles is an instant celebrity everywhere he goes (and he loves going everywhere: wine bars, coffee shops, parks and stores, you name it). He's a sweet bundle of joy who loves making friends, humans and dogs alike! He is largely potty trained and fantastic on a leash. He loves chicken and cheese as treats but his favorite thing is bellyrubs; he's very velcro and just wants to be with his human. Chilaquiles needs training when it comes to his separation anxiety, as he cries and stresses when left alone (even with another pet at home). He also needs training with his excitement levels, as it causes him to cough. Chilaquiles has a mild collapsed trachea and is on medication for it twice a day, which we suspect will be lifelong. The CT doesn't stop him from living and loving life; it just means he needs to avoid triggers of major excitement or stress, exercise, heat and air pollutants (i.e. scented candles, fragrances, sprays, etc). We recommend air purifiers and humidifiers at home, as well as regular check-ups with a vet to check and track his trachea. CT is very common with the breeds and is irreversible, so it will require ongoing care to delay the progression. Chilaquiles has so much love to give and life to live, and we can't wait to find the perfect home for this ray of sunshine.
