Ford

Ford is a sweet 4-year-old Pomeranian who recently found himself in the care of OC Pom Rescue after being surrendered by his previous owner. After coming into rescue, Ford was diagnosed with a medial patellar luxation, commonly known as a luxating patella. Although Ford continues to get around surprisingly well and hasn't let his condition dampen his spirit, the issue will only become more painful over time without surgical intervention. BUT NOW, he is on the road to recovery after having corrective surgery!!

Despite everything, Ford remains a gentle, easygoing little dog. He enjoys relaxing on the couch, playing with his favorite toys, and soaking up attention from the people around him. Everyone who meets him quickly falls in love with his sweet personality. 

Ford is a calm, cuddly, and cute couch potato. He is a loyal companion who enjoys following his human around. He does well on easy strolls and is potty trained. He currently lives with a dog and 2 cats in his foster home, although he does chase cats. He is indifferent to having another dog around, except during meal times when he prefers to enjoy his yummy food in peace. His previous owner mentioned he may not do well with young children who move very fast. In his foster home, his behavior is observed to be gentle and chill. He is the best to hug and will fully relax in your arms. His favorite are belly rubs. If you are seeking a forever fluffy friend, Ford is your little guy.

Ford has leg mechanical deformities that do not cause any pain, and he has had a patella surgery (thank you, donors!!). He is still able to walk, he just has a special strut. Anti-inflammatory meds may be eeded throughout his life on days that he is sore to help keep him comfortable. He would do best in a home that is not as active or can carry him in a backpack/stroller.
