Coleslaw

Coleslaw is a feisty Pomeranian with a lot of personality packed into a tiny frame.  His fluffy white coat and big puppy eyes might make him seem cuddly, but he can be sensitive to anyone coming into his personal space when he is not ready for it! He can be sensitive to touch and unfamiliar sounds and he is not a fan of being picked up until he is comfortable with you. It is important to approach him with care and to respect his boundaries when he lays them down. He can bite when he gets startled, so he would not do well in a home with young children. His bite does hurt, so he is looking for an experienced home. He is so good in the car and loves sticking his head out the window. He will bark with excitement when he knows he is going to a park area he likes or if he sees another dog that he is curious about, but he does calm down quickly with correction. Coleslaw is awesome on the leash and enjoys leisurely walks where he can sniff and run around. He will proudly sit and cock his head to the side for a treat! He may even pull out his Pommy dance moves!

Coleslaw would do well in a patient, experienced home and with a family who can help him build up his confidence. Once he is comfortable with you, he'll show you affection in his own way, like asking to be picked up or bringing you toys. He does love having his body and booty pet/scratched!

Coleslaw can have spurts of playfulness throughout the day, but he thrives in a calm environment where he can feel safe and secure.  He is treat motivated and is fine while eating small treats, but he does have resource guarding tendencies during meal time. He is good once his food is eaten, but doesn't like to be messed with while he is eating. Though he can be a bit of a handful at times, with a little love and time, Coleslaw will be your little shadow. He loves walking on trails on overcast days and going out and about for many car rides and cafe dates!
