Top 8 Dog-Friendly Chain Restaurants and What to Order

Updated: Dec 1, 2022

On the road and in a fix to feed your loyal road trip companion? Here’s some chain restaurants and what to order from them so you can nourish that furry friend while satiating your own appetite.

  • Starbucks - Order a Puppuchino so your dog can enjoy their own frappuccino. This is a small cup of whipped cream that your dog is sure to lick up right away!

  • In n Out - The Pup Patty (an unsalted burger patty) and Flying Dutchman (2 burger patties and 2 slices of cheese) are both appropriate for your dog to equally enjoy their exclusive right to this California favorite.

  • Dairy Queen - The Pup Cup is simply a vanilla soft serve that your dog is bound to devour in a heartbeat.

  • Johnny Rockets - The Dog Burger is a cut up burger patty, which is perfect for your dog to eat independently and you won’t have to take your hands off the wheel to break up the pieces yourself!

  • Sprinkles - We can bet your dog loves cupcakes as much as the next person. The Doggie Cupcakes here have yogurt frosting, perfect for your furbaby’s sweet tooth! (And distract them enough to not beg for your own Red Velvet).

  • Shake Shack - This beloved chain is perfect for your canine and has two secret dog menu items: The Poo-chini is a peanut butter sundae with dog biscuits and the Bag O’ Biscuits has dog treats made from the gourmet dog treat company, Bocce’s Bakery.

  • Chick Fil A - No one does customer service better than CFA and this extends to their treatment of dogs as well. CFA will usually offer grilled chicken snacks to pup passengers but if not, you can definitely ask for it while you enjoy that refreshing lemonade and deluxe chicken sandwich!

  • Dunkin Donuts - Similar to Starbucks, this place also offers pups their own cup of whipped cream goodness. Don’t forget to say “Puppy Latte” next time you are running on Dunkin.

It’s possible you have been going to these chains for a while without knowing the secret dog menu items. Next time, consider bringing home a delicious surprise or even take your dog along for a foodie adventure. Your pup loves to be included in all activities, so sharing a meal from the same place is bound to strengthen the existing bond with your dog!
